Color Corps Certification opportunities

Oct 31, 2009 We will conduct two color corps certifications. This is a great opportunity to extend the enthusiasm of the new Sir Knights to the color corps by having them attend a certification.

The first certification is scheduled for Saturday, October 31, 9:00 AM to noon at Father Edwin F. Kelley Assembly, #1443 in Woodbridge. Coffee and doughnuts will be available starting at 8:15 AM. Father Kelley Assembly meets at Father Edwin Kelley Council, 13386 Telegraph Road, Woodbridge. Directions are in the state directory.

The second certification is scheduled for Saturday, November 14, 9:00 AM to noon at Msgr. McMahon Assembly, #2205 in Richmond. Coffee and doughnuts will be available starting at 8:00 AM. Msgr. McMahon Assembly meets at St. Edwards Council, which meets at St. Edwards Parish, 2700 Dolfield Drive, Richmond. Directions are in the state directory. The certification will be held in the basement cafeteria of the school. Due to a number of activities scheduled at St. Edwards Parish that day, all participants MUST park at the Huguenot Road Baptist Church located a ½ block away.

Dress for the certification is casual. SKs who own regalia should bring white gloves, service baldric, and sword. For those SKs without regalia, extra service baldrics and swords will be available.

All Assemblies are invited to attend.

If Sir Knights from your Assemblies plan to attend, please send me approximate numbers by October 29 for the Fr. Kelley Assembly certification and by November 11 for the Msgr. McMahon Assembly certification.

Please let the Faithful Commander Tim Murtha know if you would like to attend either of these certications so that he can send in a consolidated response.
